Boxcar History

All Aboard Manitoba - the Boxcar Shoppe. The boxcar was originally built by the Canadian Pacific Railway (CPR) in 1924.

Boxcar serial number. Its serial number is 197424.

Many of the original markings, including measuring markers and capacity lines for various grains, can be seen throughout the boxcar.

Boxcar grain capacity markings. It was purchased by The Forks twelve years ago and has been lovingly restored by GTShelters.com.

The Boxcar Shoppe opened as a retail store on July 1, 2004.
